DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PAYE, VAT, SHIF, NSSF, and timely filing on iTax.
Process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
Monitor and manage company budgets and assist with forecasting.
Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.
Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
Support audits by providing required documentation and information.
Advise management on cost control, financial planning, and policy development.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification is a strong advantage
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy accounting environment
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent)
Advanced MS Excel skills (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas)
Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and statutory compliance procedures
