Job Description

What we are looking for:

 

You will have experience in investigation planning and techniques including victim and suspect interviewing, writing statements, evidence gathering and case presentation. You will have experience in investigations having worked in the private, public or third sector.

 

You will plan and conduct investigations into a range of matters. Your work will include victim and suspect interviewing, obtaining written statements, gathering evidence, and completing high quality investigation reports.

 

You will have a particular interest in fraud, corruption, internal investigations and working in the international humanitarian and development sector.

 

You will be expected to conduct investigations, supporting colleagues in other regions when required and assist in the coordination and response to investigations conducted by those outside of the team (including non-specialist staff and consultants).

 

Providing expert advice to senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in responding to a range of incidents that may have security or regulatory implications. With a dual role in corruption prevention, you will have experience of implementing anti-corruption or counter fraud measures in organisations including delivering training, reviewing policies and developing risk assessments.

 

You will ideally already have some experience of training and be a compelling public speaker, able to convey complex subjects concisely and accessibly to global colleagues.

 

A high degree of discretion and confidentiality will be essential as you will be handling large volumes of sensitive information. You will have an excellent understanding of risk management and have demonstrated good judgement in handling sensitive information, particularly from vulnerable people and confidential sources.
