The role we are currently recruiting for is Factory Technician. As we are starting to build and expand our business in Kenya, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and tech savvy Technician to manage both warehouse and production. The primary duties include ensuring that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently while the warehouse is sufficiently stocked and all materials and stock are accounted for in all the three office locations in Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale.

At African Clean Energy, you will:

planning and organizing maintenance schedules

assessing project and resource requirements

estimating, negotiating and agreeing timescales with manager

ensuring that health and safety regulations are met

balancing loads in three phase systems

organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment

organizing relevant training sessions

ensure the maintenance workshop is always clean and well organised

tradesman skills basics in welding, painting, plumbing, carpentry

ensure the workshop follows all compliance regulations 

any other activities determined necessary by management.

We’d really like to hear from you if you have:

At least a Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or any related field.

Valid electrician license/ certification is a MUST.

At least 3 years’ proven experience in the Industrial and Manufacturing environment. 

Fluency in 3-phase power industrial electrical circuits

Strong Knowledge of high-voltage systems, motors, panels, PLCs and industrial automation. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal  skills. 

Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to machinery breakdowns. 

Awareness of occupational health and electrical safety regulations. 

Must be able to work in physically demanding situations and heights when necessary.
