We are hiring on behalf of our client in the health industry, a facility committed to delivering quality primary healthcare services to the community. The client seeks to engage a qualified Community Oral Health Officer to provide preventive, promotive, and basic curative oral healthcare services, both at the facility and through outreach programs, in line with the Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct oral examinations, diagnose common dental conditions, and perform basic procedures (extractions, fillings, scaling, polishing).
- Administer local anesthesia and ensure strict adherence to infection prevention protocols.
- Plan and conduct school/community oral health education programs and awareness campaigns..
- Apply fluoride treatments and fissure sealants; screen and refer complex dental cases.
- Maintain accurate records and submit regular reports via DHIS2.
- Collaborate with CHVS, schools, and local stakeholders to promote oral hygiene and support outreach programs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) is an added advantage.
- Computer literate with ability to use health information systems.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a busy health facility preferred.
