Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write original, persuasive, and high-quality copy for websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, brochures, and other marketing materials.
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across all communications.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other team members to conceptualize and create content that meets business goals.
- Conduct research and interviews to gain a deep understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and grammatical correctness.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and monitor its performance.
- Contribute to content calendars and assist in managing deadlines and publishing schedules.
- Stay up to date with digital marketing best practices, emerging trends, and content technologies.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a copywriter, content writer, or similar role
- Portfolio of published work that demonstrates writing range, creativity, and strategic thinking
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and digital content strategies
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS)
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Salary: Kshs. 25,000 - Kshs. 30,000
