Job Description

The primary purpose of this role:

 

The Junior Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the department’s ongoing projects and daily operations, issue tracking, and reporting tasks. The ideal candidate should be highly analytical, possess strong technical skills and be willing to contribute to improving our data management processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Forecasting and model management:

 

Execute and maintain dynamic forecasting models (i.e. run-rate, seasonality, promotions).

 

Continuously monitor forecast outputs against the actual run rates, and alert stakeholders to significant variances and recalibrate models to protect business margins.

 

Document model assumptions, version histories and performance metrics.

 

Automation and ETL

 

Develop and deploy Python scripts for ETL: ingest data from ERP, SFA and Excel; transform, validate and load into analytical data stores.

 

Schedule and monitor automated pipelines and Power BI dataflows for uninterrupted real time reporting.

 

Reporting and visualization

 

Build, update and distribute self-service Power BI dashboards for Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance.

 

Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests with rapid turnaround.

 

Machine Learning and AI Initiatives

 

Prototype and productionize ML/AI solutions (time series forecasting, anomaly detection and demand sensing).

 

Evaluate emerging AI tools for potential integration at Haco.

 

Cross Functional Leadership

 

Serve as the analytical liaison for Sales Force Automation (SFA) and other IT-led projects-ensure data requirements are met, track milestones, and support user acceptance.

 

Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather requirements, present findings and train users.

 

Issue Tracking and Continuous Improvement

 

Log and resolve data quality issues, collaborate with IT and business teams to implement permanent fixes.

 

Propose and document process enhancements-data validation checks, alert systems, and best practices.

 

Qualifications

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related fields.

 

At least 1-2 years of experience in data analytics role, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing.

 

Prior experience in Microsoft Fabric Platform will be an added advantage.

 

Technical skills

 

Programming: Python (Pandas, numpy, scikit-learn); writing clean modular cole.

 

Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server); data modelling best practices.

 

BI & Reporting: Power BI (DAX, dataflows): advanced excel (formulas, VBA/macros).

 

Collaboration Tools: Git for version control; Jira or similar ticketing systems.

 

Bonus: Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric platform components (Data Factory, Synapse, Power).
