Position Scope:
The position is responsible for driving profitable revenue and volume growth for Money transfer services with a focus on new acquisition, deepening existing relationships and cross sell thereby improving market and customer share of wallet with the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
Define and plan Money transfer services enhancements to promote uptake.
Develop and implement strategies to grow revenue from Money Transfer Services business.
Grow the Bank’s remittance market share.
Partnerships and Relationship Management
Recruit and Onboard new IMT partners
Manage relationships with all IMT Stakeholders both internal and external.
Review all Money transfer service contracts to align with the Bank’s objectives.
Marketing and Promotion
Develop processes for Money transfer service sales activations and marketing plans targeting specific MTS merchants for joint marketing and promotions and marketing department.
Ensure visible signage in the entire branch network.
Reconciliation, Settlements and Reporting
Ensure revenue collected on all Money transfer services avenues.
Ensure settlements are done promptly by the back-office team.
Ensure reconciliation on Money transfer systems and feedback to branches.
Provide monthly performance revenue reports to branches.
Branch Support
Liaise with branch to have dedicated and manned cubicles for Money transfer service.
Ensure that branches have active user/passwords access through ICT support.
Organize for user training on Money transfer services and products.
Education/Professional Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized University.
Master’s degree in a Business-related field from a recognized University is an added advantage.
Five (5) years banking experience of which 2 years must have been in Money Transfer Services and
Cross Border Remittances in a commercial bank at a managerial level.
Strong background in product development and roll out, partner relations and change management.
Comprehension of the Money Transfer regulations from a local and international standpoint.
Good understanding of Banking laws and regulations.
Budgeting and Planning skills.
Project Management skills.
Knowledge and ability to ensure good governance practices in assigned Department.
Highly analytical and ability to challenge status quo based on quantitative facts and impacts.
Stakeholder Management.
Ability to develop reports.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to lead teams, mentor and coach staff to goal definition and achievement.
Performance Management and team building.
Ability to make strategic decisions in a timely and effective manner.
