Job Description
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
Coordinating the development, implementation and review of policies, strategies, regulations, guidelines, standards and procedures on human resource and development;i
Advising on matters pertaining to human resource management and development;
Spearheading human resource training and development programmes;
Coordinating the development, implementation and review of performance management system;
Administering employee benefits and remuneration;
Managing industrial relations issues and welfare of staff;
Coordinating the preparation of human resource plans and succession management strategies;i)
Managing staff disciplinary process and grievances;
Ensuring staff mental wellness is prioritized and well taken care of;
Recommending performance improvement strategies that are adaptive to changing environment and technology;
Managing counselling services;
Implementing organizational development and change management initiatives;
Developing and managing staff welfare schemes such as Group Personal Life and accident, medical or insurance schemes;
Developing and maintaining the Human Resource Management Information System; and
Ensuring compliance with human resource statutory and regulatory requirements
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Principal Human Resource Management Officer II or in a comparable position;
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Human Resource Management, Business Administration/Management (Human Resource Management option) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Business Administration/ Management (Human Resource Management Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP);
Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Membership to a professional body in good standing where applicable;
Proficiency in computer applications; and
Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and administrative capability as reflected in work performance and results.
