 Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Lead the development and execution of the corporate strategy in alignment with shareholder goals, industry evolution, and market opportunities.
Define long-term business priorities, organizational KPIs, and strategic initiatives to drive profitability, scale, and resilience.
Provide direction to all departments, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth vision and operational excellence goals.
Translate sector intelligence into actionable strategy and sustainable value creation.
 Operational Oversight
Provide end-to-end leadership of daily operations across all business units — including petroleum supply, aviation fuel handling, logistics, and depot activities.
Ensure seamless coordination of interdepartmental activities and effective resource utilization.
Champion the enforcement of operational SOPs and industry best practices.
Embed and sustain HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) excellence across all sites and teams.
Continuously assess operational risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies to enable real-time improvement.
 Financial Stewardship
Take full accountability for the company’s P&L, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Drive cost efficiency across departments while safeguarding service quality and regulatory compliance.
Oversee investment planning, capital allocation, and financial risk management.
Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory obligations, and audit standards.
Analyze financial trends and guide business decisions using data-driven insights to enhance ROI.
 Leadership and People Management
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing senior management team across functions.
Create a strong performance management culture, with structured appraisals, feedback, and continuous development.
Support talent development, succession planning, and retention of high-potential employees.
Promote a workplace culture defined by professionalism, accountability, inclusion, and operational discipline.
Ensure staff are aligned with the company’s values, goals, and regulatory responsibilities.
 Regulatory & Industry Engagement
Serve as the chief liaison with industry regulators, aviation and energy authorities, and government stakeholders.
Ensure strict adherence to oil and gas regulations, HSSEMS standards, environmental mandates, and quality assurance frameworks.
Represent the company during inspections, external audits, licensing processes, and high-level negotiations.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and prepare the business for shifts in legal or environmental requirements.
Business Development and Market Intelligence
Monitor industry trends, emerging risks, competitor activity, and customer expectations.
Lead the identification of new markets, fuel products, strategic partnerships, and revenue streams.
Support diversification strategies across commercial, retail, and bulk fuel channels.
Guide the commercial and marketing teams in client acquisition, contract development, and service enhancement.
 Systems Strengthening and Digital Enablement
Champion the integration of enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, HRIS, compliance platforms) to improve accuracy and transparency.
Drive the adoption of data analytics and automation tools to enhance decision-making and reduce operational lag.
Strengthen internal processes and documentation to support scalability, audit-readiness, and efficiency.
Promote a data-driven, systems-oriented culture across the business.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
A Master’s degree (MBA or MSc in Energy, Strategy, or Finance) is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the oil and gas or broader energy sector, with at least 5 years in an executive or senior management position.
Proven track record in overseeing technical operations, financial performance, HSSE compliance, and team leadership within a regulated industry.
In-depth knowledge of aviation fueling operations, petroleum logistics, supply chain management, and sector-specific licensing requirements.
