Job Description
CrossBoundary is recruiting a fixed-term Financial Accountant for a period of six months. The duties of the Financial Accountant will revolve around ensuring that the business is operating effectively and efficiently. Main responsibilities will include managing accounting records, evaluating, and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information. The controller will work directly with the Finance and Operations Manager and management team to dynamically run the business both locally and internationally.  Your primary responsibilities would be:  Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly closings, financial statement preparation, statutory audits, tax returns, and compliance with local accounting standards. Manage day-to-day accounting operations: general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable/receivable, intercompany transactions, and bank reconciliations. Ensure accurate transaction coding and financial data entry in Sage X3. Review and approve local accounts and tax submissions in coordination with in-country accountants. Prepare consolidated accounts, monthly invoicing, payroll, and weekly payment runs. Maintain the asset register and monitor accounts to ensure timely payments. Support entity setup in new geographies, including bank account openings and administrative tasks. Provide information for external audits and assist with other ad hoc or cross-functional operational support.
