Job Purpose:
Our client in the mobile industry is seeking an experienced and highly creative Director to lead brand strategy, content development, and campaign execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative direction, branding, and digital marketing, with the ability to develop innovative campaigns that drive engagement, sales, and brand awareness. This role requires a blend of artistic vision, leadership skills, and technical expertise to ensure the brand stands out in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy & Branding:
- Develop and execute creative concepts, campaigns, and storytelling strategies aligned with the company's brand and business objectives.
- Oversee and maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels, including digital, print, social media, and retail displays.
- Lead the creative process for product launches, advertising, and promotional campaigns, ensuring innovative and compelling messaging.
Content Development & Market Research:
- Research African localized content adapted to different media and continuously optimize content through data-driven insights.
- Plan, promote, and review brand marketing content to increase user engagement and activity.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create impactful product promotions that effectively combine content creativity with product selling points.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and lead a team of designers, copywriters, and content creators, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to translate business goals into effective creative strategies.
- Oversee relationships with external agencies and production houses to ensure high-quality output within budget and timelines.
Trend Analysis & Performance Monitoring:
- Stay ahead of mobile industry trends, consumer insights, and emerging technologies to integrate cutting-edge ideas into campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize engagement and return on investment (ROI).
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in a marketing agency, mobile industry, or consumer electronics sector.
- Proven expertise in branding, digital marketing, and multimedia content production.
- Excellent content creation ability, with strong conceptual thinking.
- Experience in product promotion, with the ability to effectively combine creativity with product positioning.
- Basic graphic design skills.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create compelling marketing content.
