The association submits an annual audit and company returns. CBM’s work in Kenya aims to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities through specialised service provision and by addressing the various barriers towards an inclusive society. CBM desires to be a long term development partner to Kenya in the journey towards a more disability friendly country, in which there is improved awareness in various sectors of society regarding disability and increased participation of people with special abilities in national development.
Job Description
These are your responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of high-quality MERLA services, managing data collection, analysis, reporting, and knowledge-sharing processes.
- Guide the creation and application of MERLA frameworks, tools, and methods, informed by a situational analysis of the current M&E systems through organization-wide consultation and benchmarking.
- Ensure MERLA is deeply integrated into programme design, execution, and decision-making.
Regularly evaluate the MERLA framework to maintain alignment with organizational goals and programmatic needs.
- Direct the design and rollout of comprehensive monitoring and evaluation systems to assess programme performance and impact.
- Facilitate the development of M&E frameworks for strategic projects in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead CBM’s MERLA community of practice, documenting and sharing sector-wide advancements in measurement methods, tools, and resources.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive capacity-building plan for MERLA.
- Strengthen MERLA capabilities within CBM staff, providing technical guidance and training to field teams and partners.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing MERLA team.
These are your qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, public health, social sciences).
- Strong background in MERLA methodologies, tools, and practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities with experience in leading teams.
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with data analysis software.
- Solid understanding of disability and development issues.
- Experience designing and implementing MERLA frameworks in learning contexts.
- Proven experience with grant proposals, including technical proposal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Identification with Christian values and the mandate of the CBM.
