Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the marketing and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with FDSA’s strategic and business plans.
  • Build and maintain a strong brand identity, ensuring consistency across media campaigns, event marketing, digital platforms, and corporate communications.
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness of existing marketing and fundraising efforts through data-driven insights.

Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, incorporating:

  • Appeals and bequests
  • Corporate partnerships and workplace giving
  • Individual and regular giving
  • Trusts, foundations, and philanthropic giving
  • Community fundraising and donor engagement
  • Inspire a creative approach to fundraising, identifying and activating new donor opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding sources and cultivate strong relationships with donors through direct engagement.
  • Provide leadership in events, community, and individual giving fundraising to maximize impact and reach.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams while optimizing existing fundraising channels.
  • Maintain financial records and coordinate donation allocations with the finance team.
  • Set goals for the marketing and fundraising team, monitor performance, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with Council Members and the CEO to foster organizational cohesion and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, ensuring professional growth and alignment with FDSA’s mission.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities in marketing and fundraising to keep FDSA at the forefront of innovation.
  • Represent the organization at a senior level with external stakeholders, fostering strategic partnerships and public engagement.

  • A comprehensive marketing and fundraising strategy aligned with FDSA’s goals.
  • A consistent and impactful brand identity across all communication channels.
  • Established brand guidelines and standards for internal and external use.
  • Well-developed and targeted fundraising campaigns to drive donor engagement and revenue growth.
  • Successful corporate partnerships and collaboration agreements that enhance FDSA’s impact.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional qualification in marketing, such as a Chartered Marketer, is desired.
  • Strong track record in developing and executing marketing, fundraising, and membership strategies that drive revenue growth preferably within a membership-based organization, nonprofit, or social impact sector.
  • Proven experience in corporate branding and market positioning to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrated success in donor engagement, partnerships, and sponsorship development.
  • Ability to analyze membership trends and develop retention strategies to grow a sustainable member base.
