Lion Landscapes invites applications for a proactive Fundraising Assistant. The Fundraising Assistant plays a key role in supporting the fundraising and communications team by managing donor relations, assisting with campaigns, and acting as the first point of contact for enquiries and communication requests. This position involves ensuring accurate donor record management, delivering personalised acknowledgements and communications to public donors, and maintaining effective donor engagement.
Part-time position: 20 hours per week (Work schedule: minimum of 4 days per week)
Main responsibilities
Donor Management & Engagement
- Oversee and manage donations through Donorbox.
- Send timely donation acknowledgements.
- Update and maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce.
- Add donors to newsletter contact lists and manage ongoing email communications.
Campaign Support
- Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising and individual giving campaigns.
- Coordinate follow-up communications with donors to enhance engagement and retention.
- Analyse campaign performance and recommend improvements.
First-Line Support
- Monitor and manage incoming contact forms, ensuring prompt responses to enquiries.
- Serve as the first point of contact for media requests, handling initial communications and referring enquiries to the appropriate team member as needed.
Team Support
- Provide administrative support to the Fundraising & Communications team.
- Assist with various tasks as required to support broader fundraising and communications initiatives.
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in a nonprofit or charity setting is an asset.
- Experience in donor relations, fundraising campaigns, or communications roles is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of the principles of donor stewardship.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and donation management platforms (such as Donorbox).
- Proficient in using digital communication tools and managing data.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities, especially prioritising tasks efficiently.
