Job Description
About the role
- BURN Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled Supply & Demand Planner to manage demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory control for the Electric Stoves (IDC) Business Unit. This role will be responsible for Master Production Scheduling (MPS) within Microsoft Dynamics NAV (NAV) and ensuring seamless alignment with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand forecasting, supply planning, ERP systems (NAV), and stakeholder management. Experience in planning for electrical appliances, consumer electronics, or related industries is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Master Production Scheduling (MPS) & ERP Management (NAV)
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (NAV) for the Electric Stoves (IDC) Business Unit.
- Ensure MPS accuracy by aligning production plans, inventory levels, and sales forecasts.
- Monitor production capacity, raw material availability, and lead times to balance supply and demand.
- Identify and mitigate planning risks, such as capacity bottlenecks, stockouts, and excess inventory.
- Ensure real-time data updates and accurate execution of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for IDC products.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality factors to enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Adjust forecasts based on real-time market conditions, new product launches, and promotional activities.
- Provide data-driven insights to improve customer fulfilment rates and production efficiency.
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Develop supply plans aligned with manufacturing capacity, procurement constraints, and warehouse storage.
- Define and manage inventory targets, safety stock levels, and reorder points for electric stoves.
- Ensure timely material procurement to prevent stockouts and avoid overstocking.
- Optimize inventory turnover rates while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate with warehousing and logistics teams to ensure smooth stock movement and order fulfilment.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as the key liaison between the Production, Procurement, Sales, and Warehousing teams for the IDC Business Unit.
- Communicate demand fluctuations, supply risks, and inventory updates effectively to all stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product Development & Engineering teams to plan for new product launches.
- Provide regular planning reports and insights to senior management for decision-making.
Data Analysis & Process Improvement
- Utilize ERP reports, Power BI, and Excel models to analyze planning performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement best practices for demand-supply balancing, production efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Support digital transformation initiatives for supply chain planning.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Demand & Supply Planning, MPS management, or a similar role (preferably in manufacturing or consumer electronics).
- Strong expertise in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred) and demand forecasting tools.
- Proven experience in inventory management, production planning, and S&OP processes.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data analytics tools.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with electrical appliances, consumer goods, or related industries is a plus.
- Analytical & problem-solving skills: Ability to make data-driven decisions and optimize supply chain processes.
- Strong communication & stakeholder management: Proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Detail-oriented & organized: Ensuring accuracy in planning, forecasting, and reporting.
