Our client is a social enterprise manufacturing and construction company that uses innovation to find quality solutions in the affordable housing sector. We are looking for a Technical Sales to drive sales and provide technical support for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials, sales, and technical advisory, with a proven ability to build relationships with contractors, QS, architects, engineers, and developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and real estate sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, and procurement teams.
- Prepare and deliver sales pitches, proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules to meet client needs.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Technical Advisory & Product Knowledge
- Provide technical support and recommendations on the use of our products in construction projects.
- Educate clients on product benefits.
- Offer solutions for construction challenges, such as cost optimization and durability enhancement.
Client Support & Relationship Management
- Conduct site visits to provide hands-on assistance.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and technical issues promptly.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and after-sales support.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis
- Stay updated on industry trends, construction regulations, and product innovations.
- Monitor competitor pricing, product offerings, and market strategies.
- Provide feedback to R&D and production teams to enhance product quality and innovation.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and market intelligence.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and business plans.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Client Meetings: Meeting with potential clients to understand their needs for construction materials and services, and presenting suitable solutions.
- Proposal Preparation: Preparing and presenting detailed proposals and quotations for both materials and construction services.
- Follow-ups: Following up with clients to close deals and ensure satisfaction.
- Order Processing: Coordinating with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials and with the project management team for service execution.
- Customer Service: Handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing after-sales support for both materials and services.
- Market Research: Staying updated on market trends, competitor activities, and new products and services.
- Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Quantity Surveying (QS), Engineering Background with knowledge and sales experience is preferred
- Knowledge of construction materials, services, and industry trends.
- Experience in sales within the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
- Analytical skills to understand market trends and customer needs.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on products, services, and sales techniques.
