DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Research and identify new business opportunities within target markets and industry verticals.
- Actively prospect potential clients through cold calls, emails, and social media platforms.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to generate new leads and build relationships with prospective clients.
Sales Presentations & Product Demonstrations:
- Conduct in-depth software product presentations and demos to potential clients, clearly articulating the features, benefits, and value propositions.
- Customize presentations based on the specific needs and pain points of each prospect.
- Utilize product knowledge to confidently answer questions and address objections during sales meetings.
Consultative Sales Approach:
- Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business and technology needs through discovery meetings.
- Work closely with clients to identify pain points, challenges, and areas for improvement where the software solution can add value.
- Provide tailored solutions and guide clients through the decision-making process, acting as a trusted advisor.
Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contract conditions with clients to close deals and drive revenue growth.
- Develop sales proposals and contracts, ensuring they align with both client needs and company guidelines.
- Utilize a consultative approach to handle objections and drive the sales process to successful closure.
Account Management and Relationship Building:
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Foster long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
- Offer post-sale support and follow-up to ensure successful implementation and adoption of the software solutions.
Sales Strategy and Target Achievement:
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the sales manager.
- Track and monitor sales activities through CRM software to ensure targets are being met.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales in both existing and new client accounts.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the marketing and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback from clients to inform product development and improve the customer experience.
- Collaborate with the customer support team to resolve any post-sale technical issues or queries.
Reporting and Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including client meetings, quotes, and deals.
- Submit regular sales reports, activity logs, and forecasts to the management team.
- Keep updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to remain competitive.
Continuous Learning & Professional Development:
- Participate in training programs and workshops to stay up-to-date with new product features, software trends, and sales techniques.
- Constantly improve personal sales techniques and product knowledge to ensure the highest level of client service.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or diploma in Sales and Marketing, Information Technology (IT), or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years in software sales, technical sales, or service sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of software products and technical services. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Strong focus on understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions to drive customer success
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative in driving sales opportunities
- A goal-driven individual with a passion for achieving targets and making an impact in the sales process
Salary: KShs. 100,000
