Role Overview

The Tour Consultant will be responsible for curating exceptional travel experiences, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering strong relationships with both clients and travel partners. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for delivering memorable journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel Planning & Coordination: Develop and customize itineraries for individual and group travel across East Africa and beyond, aligning with clients’ preferences and budgets.
  • Booking Management: Arrange flights, accommodations, transport, and excursions while negotiating the best deals with suppliers.
  • Client Support: Offer expert advice on destinations, visa applications, travel insurance, and other travel-related services.
  • Relationship Management: Build lasting relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with industry partners, including hotels, airlines, and tour operators, to secure quality service.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed on travel trends, destination updates, and new regulations to provide accurate and timely advice.
  • Problem Resolution: Address any issues or challenges that arise during the travel process to ensure a seamless experience for clients.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years experience in the travel or tourism industry.
  • Strong knowledge of East African safari destinations and international travel requirements.
  • Proficiency in travel reservation systems and related software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing client needs.
