Gusii Water and Sanitation Company Limited (GWASCO) is a Private Limited Company by shares incorporated on the 12th June, 2006 under the Companies Act Cap 486 of the Laws of Kenya. We are an agent of Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency(LVSWWDA), created as a result of the enactment of the Water Act 2002 which gave birth to the Water Sector Reforms in Kenya.
Gusii Water and sewarage Company is a cluster system that operates eight water supplies within its jurisdiction with a total design capacity of 18000 cubic meters a day. The population within the service area is about 521,477 of which 250,483 people are served.
For easy of management, the company has a number of supplies including Kisii, Nyamira, Keroka, Ogembo,Tabaka, Ikonge, Nyansiongo, Gesusu and Birongo.
The company also manages a sewerage facility which serves the Kisii town area. The treatment plant initially designed with a capacity of 8000 meters cubic per day is being expanded to receive and treat more sewer in the ongoing KFW funded project.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement service delivery, revenue generation, and collection strategies.
- Manage the customer service function and promote a customer-centric culture throughout the organization.
- Establish and maintain positive customer management systems that ensure timely and high-quality client services.
- Disseminate company policies and procedures to customers.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date customer database to support the Company’s revenue objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely meter reading, billing, and subsequent collection.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field (Commerce, Accounting, etc.) or CPA(K).
- Postgraduate qualification in Customer Service or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role in customer service.
- Experience in the water service sector will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing customer management systems and processes.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications
