Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process for their security solutions projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, ideally within the technology or security sector, and will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products and services required to support the company's operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery times.
- Request and analyze supplier quotations to determine the best value for the organization.
- Negotiate contracts, including terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures for streamlined processes.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply while avoiding shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure compliance with procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to establish budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the procurement process, such as supply chain disruptions or quality issues.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSP-K).
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with procurement in the technology or security sector.
- Familiarity with technology and IT equipment, including CCTV, access control, and related systems.
