Job Description
The BMI Consultant work will enhance UNICEF Chile’s ability to adapt to evolving challenges and opportunities, positioning it as a leader in innovative and scalable business models. The successful implementation of the BMI will:
- Strengthen partnerships and resource mobilization, ensuring a sustainable impact on the rights of all children in Chile;
- Enhance UNICEF’s global and regional strategies through documented learnings and best practices;
- Build the capacity of UNICEF Chile’s staff and partners, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in fields such as Public Administration, Business Administration, International Development, Economics, Organizational Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline is required.
- Additional certifications or training in innovation, design thinking, project management, or strategic planning are highly desirable
- Additional certifications or training in innovation, design thinking, project management, or strategic planning are highly desirable
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic planning, organizational management, and development
- operations. Experience in high- or middle-income country contexts and collaboration with public institutions, private sector actors, and civil society organizations.
- Proven track record in designing, managing, and implementing multi-stakeholder projects. Experience in organizational change, business process innovation, or programmatic transformation with systemic and scalable impacts.
- Proficiency in design thinking methodologies and experience in social change or child-focused development initiatives.
- Previous experience within UNICEF (Country Offices, Regional Offices, or Headquarters) or familiarity with its internal processes and organizational culture. Experience in private sector fundraising, resource mobilization, or corporate engagement is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to translate high-level concepts into actionable plans. Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, foster collaboration, and manage organizational change.
- Knowledge of financial systems, sustainable finance, and financing for development. Proficiency in project management tools.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
