What you become a part of :
- The successful candidate will oversee the export operations to our customers outside of Kenya in the larger East Africa region, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing logistics processes to enhance our market presence and customer satisfaction.
What to expect :
- Imports and Export Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies for expanding export operations and increasing market share in East Africa.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all import and export activities comply with local and international regulations, including customs procedures and documentation.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners in East Africa, addressing their needs and feedback.
- Logistics Coordination: Oversee logistics and supply chain management for all imports and exports, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely deliveries.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and to stay ahead of industry impex trends.
Essential skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in impex management or international sales, preferably in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector.
- Strong understanding of export regulations and logistics processes in East Africa.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Proficient in data analysis and using metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
