Job Description
  • Our client in the Manufacturing of Hygiene and Sanitary items located in Ruiru is looking to fill the  positions of a Lab Attendant who will ensure the quality and consistency of hygiene and sanitary products by conducting routine laboratory tests, analyzing raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. The role requires expertise in chemical processes and quality assurance, with a focus on ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Job Description

Sample Collection and Testing:

  • Collect and prepare samples of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for laboratory analysis.
  • Perform chemical and physical tests to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Analyze test results and compare them to established specifications.
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to supervisors.
  • Implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
  • Laboratory Operations:
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
  • Calibrate and standardize laboratory instruments as per protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of test results and observations.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Manage chemical inventory, including proper labeling and storage.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the paper industry, preferably in a papermill environment.
