Job Description
Position Summary:
- We are looking for a skilled and experienced Debt Collection Team Lead to manage and guide our debt collection team effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, setting team goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to collection policies and procedures. This role requires excellent leadership and organizational skills to drive the team’s success and meet collection targets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage the debt collection team to meet daily and monthly collection targets.
- Develop and implement effective debt collection strategies to minimize outstanding debts.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing coaching and support as needed.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all collection activities.
- Resolve complex issues or escalate cases as necessary.
- Maintain records of collections and analyze data to report on team performance and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- Experience: At least one (1) year of experience as a team leader in debt collection.
- Strong understanding of debt collection processes and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficient in using debt collection software and reporting tools.
