Responsibilities
To provide quality neurology services to both outpatients and inpatients. He/she will be expected to be an active member of the healthcare team at the hospital and contribute to the hospital's continuing professional development programmes.
You will be responsible to:
- perform and supervise neurology diagnostic procedures, including lumbar puncture and direct fundoscopy
- interpret and conduct nerve conduction studies (NCS) and needle electromyography (EMG)
- interpret evoked potentials, EEG (electroencephalogram) recordings, including prolonged video EEG monitoring, and possess proficiency in polysomnography interpretation skills
- provide preliminary interpretations of neuroimaging scans for common neurological conditions, particularly in emergency situations
- lead efforts to enhance Neurology services within the hospital and its outreach centers
- engage in teaching and mentoring of junior doctors.
Requirements
You should have:
- Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from a recognized university fellowship in Neurology with interest and expertise in comprehensive modern epilepsy management the successful candidate will be required to provide a lead in neurology services and collaborations in research.
