The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting operations of the firm, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective client service. This role involves leading a team of accountants, managing client relationships, and representing the firm in various capacities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Understand clients' specific needs and requirements.
Provide accounting advice and guidance to clients.
Coordinate the delivery of accounting services to clients.
Team Leadership:
Manage and supervise a team of accountants.
Assign tasks, review work, and provide training and development.
Ensure team members are meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to clients.
Tax Compliance: (In Cooperation with tax Department)
Ensure compliance with corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant tax laws.
Prepare and file tax returns.
Advise clients on tax planning strategies.
Accounting Operations:
Oversee the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
Implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures.
Ensure efficient and accurate accounting processes.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Represent the firm at industry events and conferences.
Build and maintain relationships with potential clients.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
CPA or CA certification (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
Attention to detail and accuracy
