Responsibility Summary:
Issuance of statutory notices
Advising the Bank and liaising with external lawyers on general litigation
Providing timely advice, updates on compliance and legal requirements
Ensure regular reports as required are received from external lawyers
Drafting and reviewing legal documents i.e. Debt recovery and security matters
Issue legal opinions on the recoverability of delinquent loans
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (LLB)
Must be an advocate of the high court of Kenya
Skills/Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Banking and Financial services law, with a focus on debt recovery or security litigation.
Demonstrated experience in initiating and managing civil litigation matters.
