Facilities & Projects Engineer

Our client of our clients in Nairobi is seeking to hire a Facility & Projects Engineer The sucessfull candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum efficient operations of equipment and machinery, as well as the care of Ammonia and Glycol plant and support equipment, through the direction of a technical support team made up of foreman, technicians and artisans, and contractors; while maintaining a strong safety and environmental compliance focus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Ensure critical facility and equipment  availability and champion maintenance

come up with proactive critical equipment operational measures 

In charge of compiling and implementation of Capital and operational budget 

Manage Projects implementation, Design & plan for plant modifications & implementation

Supplier Management: Financial control and payment of suppliers

Reporting commissioning

Monitor and maintain Health and safety systems 

Ensure compliance and Environmental impact is monitored 

Ensure Risk control program and security systems are managed

Champion ISO audits

Compiling maintenance and operational budgets

People Management

Minimum Requirements

Masters’ Degree in a relevant field

Degree in Engineering in Electrical/Mechanical or related fields 

12+ years related experience as a Facility Engineer in a large and busy in Manufacturing plant or cold chain storage with at least 5+ years’ experience in energy management with ability to develop measurement and verification

Certifications in Facilities management/

EDGE/LEED Associate

EBK Membership

EPRA Certification

Project Management Certification
