Not every job seeker comes with a backup plan.
Some borrow money for travel, skip meals, or take unpaid leave — just to show up with hope.
But imagine their pain when they realize the position was already fixed internally.
If you’ve already chosen someone through reference, please be honest.
Don’t invite others just to “complete the process.”
It’s not fair. It’s not professional.
Behind every resume is a person — someone’s son, daughter, or parent — carrying a dream that this interview might change their life.
Let’s bring humanity back into hiring.
Do you agree?

A close friend of mine recently went through a long recruitment process for a role she was really excited about. After several interviews, she finally made it to the final round.
During that last interview, the recruiter hinted that a decision would be made soon. But after that... complete silence. Days passed. Then weeks. No updates. Nothing.
She was left confused. She had high hopes and felt like this might be the opportunity. But there was no follow-up, no clarity — just silence that left her guessing.
And it’s not just about not getting the job. It’s the disappointment, the anxiety, and the lack of respect for the time and effort she put into the process.
To this day, she hasn’t heard back. Not even a simple message. She lost sleep for weeks because she truly thought this was the perfect role for her.
And honestly, sending a short message like:
"Thank you for going through the interview process. At this time, we’ve decided to move forward with another candidate."
...doesn’t take much time, does it?
📢 Stop ghosting candidates.
Even the smallest feedback is better than complete silence.

Job seekers aren’t angry because they didn’t get the job.

They’re angry because they didn’t get the job after multiple interviews—then got ghosted.
We’re adults.
We know every interview won’t end in an offer.
What’s unacceptable is silence after time, effort, and professionalism were given in good faith.
One interview is usually enough to assess fit.
If your process ends in ghosting, the issue isn’t the candidate.
It’s the hiring process.

Dear HR, Please Stop Ghosting Candidates.

• 2–3 hours searching for the right role
• 20–30 minutes tailoring their CV
• 5–7 days waiting with hope
• 4–6 days preparing if shortlisted
• And gives their best in a 1–2 hour interview
After all this effort… silence is painful.
A simple 5 minute update rejection, role on hold, or next steps can make a huge difference.
It shows respect, maintains trust, and strengthens your employer brand.
Hiring is not just a process.
It’s a human experience.
