According to Emirates Health Services, doctors used advanced resuscitation techniques and worked tirelessly until her heartbeat was restored. Thanks to their rapid response and expertise, the patient survived without lasting complications.
Dr Ahmed Obaid Al Khadim, Director of Fujairah Hospital, highlighted the case as proof of the hospital’s readiness and the dedication of its medical staff. Dr Thaer Khazim, head of the cardiology department, also stressed that quick coordination between emergency and cardiology teams played a crucial role in the patient’s recovery.

The tremor occurred at a shallow depth of 2.3km at 12:35pm but was not felt by residents and caused no impact across the UAE.
This comes just a day after a 2.2 magnitude quake was recorded in Oman’s Madha region, and earlier this month a 3.5 quake in Al Sila that was lightly felt. While the UAE is not in a high-risk earthquake zone, minor tre_mors do occur occasionally due to its proximity to the seismically active Zagros mountain range.
Experts explain that although strong earthquakes usually strike far away in Iran or Iraq, small tre_mors can sometimes be felt in the northern parts of the UAE. The NCM continues to monitor and record these events as part of its seismic safety measures.
