Women's World Cup sensation Linda Caicedo was at the centre of a health scare Thursday when she lay to the ground holding her chest during training, but Colombian team sources said she was able to get up and complete the session.
The incident happened during the part of the session in Sydney that was open to cameras.
A video published by Colombian media showed the 18-year-old jogging around the pitch before suddenly clutching her chest and kneeling to the ground, before lying on her back.
Several teammates come to the Real Madrid attacker's aid, followed by on-rushing staff.
A team spokesperson moved to allay fears about the teenager's condition, saying that she "did not faint".
"She was just tired, she is fine," the spokesperson told AFP, saying that she carried on training normally.
Caicedo, who three years ago overcame ovarian cancer, scored her team's second goal as they began their World Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over South Korea on Tuesday.
They play Germany in their second Group H outing in Sydney on Sunday.
