Wolkite City have appointed Mulugeta Mihret as head coach ahead of the 2023/24 BetKing Ethiopia Premier League season.
Mihret replaces Gebrekristos Birara who steered them to safety after a turbulent season where they managed to escape on the last day.
Mulugeta Mihret previously coached Hawassa City and Hadiya Hossaena.
In the 2021/22 season, it is remembered that Mulugeta, who was in Hadiya Hossaena, parted with controversy.
Wolkite survived relegation in the last week of the 2022/23 season despite possessing the second highest scorer in the League last season, Getaneh Kebede.
Wolkite finished the season with 35 points one more than relegated Arbaminch City on 34 points.
Wolkite ended the season in the 13th position in the 16 team League that saw Arbaminch City, Legatafo Legedadi and Ethio Electric in 14th, 15th and 16th dropping down to the Higher League.
