Daniel Wanyonyi has agreed to a boxing rematch against Karim ‘Mtu Kazi’ Mandonga at the end of April in Nairobi.
Wanyonyi is seeking revenge after the Tanzanian beat him on January 4 during their non-title super middleweight fight that was held at the K.I.C.C.
“I just have to take him out with a knockout blow for a convincing result because last time I don’t believe I lost.
"I request that more sponsors to come forward and support boxing in Kenya and also help other boxers, that will give us more joy in what we are doing," Wanyonyi said.
Ugandan Kenneth Lukyamuzi, who lost in a split decision against Mandong on Saturday night in Nairobi, also wants a replay of their light heavyweight bout.
"My fight with Mandonga was very good here in Kenya. Now I want Mandonga to come to Uganda for a rematch and I am sure I will finish him,” Kenneth said.
Karim "Mtu Kazi" Mandonga has said that he is ready for a rematch with Kenya’s Daniel Wanyonyi.
Mandonga took home the vacant regional Pugilistic Syndicate of Tanzania (PST) light heavyweight title after outclassing Lukyamuzi 74-78, 77-75 and 77-75 at the Kasarani Gymnasium.
