The Democratic Action Party leader Eugene Wamalwa has mourned the party's Chief Executive Officer Colonel Benjamin Muema.
Muema passed away on Wednesday early morning in a road accident along Thika road.
Wamalwa described Muema as a dear friend and "brother from another mother".
"Ben was my political ally, SG New Ford Kenya Party when l was Party leader and our CEO at DAP Kenya," he said.
"My condolences to his family and the larger DAP-K family."
In its tribute, the party said Muema was a pillar and engine at Chui House.
The Orange Democratic Party sent a message of condolence to the family, friends, relatives and the larger DAP-K party.
"Col. Muema was a gentleman and a dedicated leader. Azimio has lost," ODM said.
