A court in Nakuru has allowed police to detain two people suspected of stealing goods worth Sh15 million from a wine and spirits import and exporting company.
On Friday evening, Nakuru Chief Magistrate Bildad Ochieng allowed the police to detain Polycarp Oketch, and Emmanuel Onyango at Nakuru Police Station for three days.
The duo worked as salespersons and a driver respectively. They allegedly stole the goods during the Christmas holiday.
This followed their detention at the station from January 14, 2023, when they were arrested.
“The two will be presented on Monday, in court for plea taking. At the moment, the court extends their detention with three more days,” he ruled.
