Two suspects were arrested after an Etobicoke secondary school was put under a hold and secure order on Tuesday afternoon.
The order came as Toronto police officers investigated a threat on Silverthorne Collegiate Institute, shortly after 1:35 p.m. near Mill Road and Burnhamthorpe Road East.
Constable Laura Brabant told the Star that the hold and secure order was lifted shortly after 3 p.m.
No injuries were reported so far, police officers remain at the scene investigating.
Earlier Tuesday afternoon, a secondary school in Mississauga was briefly put under lockdown after a man with a knife was spotted inside. Peel Regional Police later arrested a young male suspect.
