An oil tanker truck driver, en route to Nairobi, was burnt alive on Saturday after his vehicle collided head on with a lorry at Awasi on the Kisumu-Nairobi Highway.
The lorry driver and turnboy escaped unscathed, according to Nyanza Regional Traffic Boss Joseph Ng'an'ga who added that two motorcycles likewise burst into flames following the collision.
Efforts to remove the deceased's body from the wreckage are currently ongoing according to Ng'ang'a.
