DStv Premiership teams have already played two games in the new season, a chance for coaches to test combinations ahead of what will be a long campaign.

The transfer window remains open for another three weeks and in that time there are sure to be more movements as clubs understand where they are short and need cover.

SuperSport.com looks at the confirmed signings so far, as well as players who have returned from loan to potentially bolster the options for coaches.

AMAZULU

Confirmed signings: Victorien Adebayor (RS Berkane, Morocco), Jean-Noel Amonome (Uthongathi, back from loan), Rowan Human (Maritzburg United), Wayde Jooste (Maritzburg United), Victor Letsoalo (Sekhukhune United), Mondli Mbanjwa (Uthongathi), Mfanafuthi Mkhize (Uthongathi), Tshepang Moremi (JDR Stars, back from loan), Celimpilo Ngema (Marumo Gallants)

Summary: Usuthu have been busy in the market and in the last 10 days or so have signed Niger forward Victorien Adebayor. They could still add to their squad with several trialists as they also seek to make up for the loss of Gabadinho Mhango, who has left for Moroka Swallows.

CAPE TOWN CITY

Confirmed signings: Tshegofatso Nyama (TS Galaxy), Jo Paciencia (InterClube, Angola), Luyolo Slatsha (promoted), Ramazani Tshimanga (JS Groupe Bazano, DR Congo)

Summary: City have made no new signings in the last week, and have been liberal with new acquisitions in the window. It has not affected their start to the season, they have two wins from two and had a goal on debut from new Angolan striker Jo Paciencia

CAPE TOWN SPURS

Confirmed signings: Shaquille Abrahams (Chippa United), Neil Boshoff (Richards Bay), Keagan Buchanan (AmaZulu), Siyanda Msani (Mamelodi Sundowns, loan), Riyaaz Nell (Marumo Gallants), Luvuyo Phewa (Mamelodi Sundowns, loan), Boitumelo Radiopane (Orlando Pirates, loan), Sam Ramsbottom (Edinburgh City, Scotland), Dylan Stoffels (Pretoria Callies)

Summary: Spurs have beefed up their goalkeeping department in the last week with not one but two signings. Neil Boshoff is no stranger to PSL fans and arrives from Richards Bay, but Sam Ramsbottom will be new to most. He arrives from Scottish third-tier side Edinburgh City. Spurs have also brought in forward Riyaaz Nell from relegated Marumo Gallants.

CHIPPA UNITED

Confirmed signings: Andile Fakude (All Stars), Craig Martin (Orlando Pirates), Ronaldo Maarman (Orlando Pirates), Baraka Majogoro (Mtibwa Sugar, Tanzania), Thabo Maloa (All Stars), Luvuyo Memela (Richards Bay), Goodman Mosele (Orlando Pirates, loan), Augustine Mulenga (NAPSA Stars, Zambia), Menzi Ndwandwe (TS Galaxy), Senzo Nkwanyana (All Stars), Kerwin Peters (All Stars), Aboubacar Bemba Sangare (JDR Stars, back from loan)

Summary: Chippa continue to add to their numbers, including Baraka Majogoro from Mtibwa Sugar in Tanzania, though he has yet to debut, having been on the bench for both their matches.

KAIZER CHIEFS

Summary: Chiefs did their business early in the window and it remains to be seen whether they will add more – talk of Bafana Bafana midfielder Thabo Cele would join on a free has not yet come to fruition. There is reportedly an impasse with his contract negotiations.

LAMONTVILLE GOLDEN ARROWS

Confirmed signings: Bradley Cross (Maritzburg United), Tebogo Motloung (Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila), Siyanda Mthanti (promoted), Olwethu Ncube (Hungry Lions), Lungelo Nguse (University of Pretoria), Angelo van Rooi (Hungry Lions), Ismail Watenga (Mamelodi Sundowns, loan), Nhlanhla Zwane (University of Pretoria)

Summary: Golden Arrows added University of Pretoria attacker in the last week, and also promoted youngster Siyanda Mthanti, who managed a goal on debut in the 1-1 draw with Moroka Swallows at the weekend.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

Confirmed signings: Bathusi Aubaas (TS Galaxy), Jody February (AmaZulu, back from loan), Lyle Lakay (Cape Town City, back from loan), Divine Lunga (Lamontville Golden Arrows, back from loan), Keletso Makgalwa (All Stars, back from loan), Thapelo Maseko (SuperSport United), Junior Mendieta (Stellenbosch), Promise Mkhuma (All Stars, back from loan), Lesiba Nku (Marumo Gallants), Lucas Ribeiro (Beveren, Belgium)

Summary: You wouldn’t think they needed any more players, but with the club set to compete for six trophies this season, they will need a big squad. In the last week or so they have won the race for TS Galaxy and Bafana Bafana midfielder Bathusi Aubaas, beating off opposition from Orlando Pirates.

MOROKA SWALLOWS

Confirmed signings: Victor Bakah (Uthongathi), Andile Jali (Mamelodi Sundowns), Tshegofatso Mabasa (Orlando Pirates, loan), Ntsako Makhubela (Orlando Pirates), Gabadinho Mhango (AmaZulu), Lantshene Phalane (Royal AM), Keenan Phillips (SuperSport United), Tshanini Falakhe (Uthongathi), Bongani Sam (Orlando Pirates, loan), Vusi Sibiya (Stellenbosch FC), Dumisani Zuma (AmaZulu)

Summary: Swallows have been busy in the last week, adding attackers Tshegofatso Mabasa and Gabadinho Mhango, midfielder Ntsako Makhubela from Orlando Pirates and centre-back Vusi Sibiya from Stellenbosch FC. New coach Steve Komphela continues to build his squad.

ORLANDO PIRATES

Summary: Have Pirates done all of their business after missing out on Aubaas? They also have a large squad but will play in the Caf Champions League this season, which is arduous on and off the pitch.

POLOKWANE CITY

Summary: Polokwane City have made a decent start to their return to the DStv Premiership with a win and a loss in their two games so far. And they were seconds away from a point in Cape Town. They have signed journeyman Zimbabwe attacker Douglas Mapfumo, who is only 23 but has been at five clubs in the PSL alone already.

RICHARDS BAY

Summary: Richards Bay have brought in veteran goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane, who is now 35 but still has a role to play in the PSL. They have endured a difficult start with successive defeats. So could they be looking for more new recruits?

ROYAL AM

Confirmed signings: None

Summary: The club are currently under a transfer ban by Fifa for failing to pay former player Samir Nurkovic, so have been unable to register any new players as of yet.

SEKHUKHUNE UNITED

Summary: Sekhukhune have been the busiest of the topflight sides as they look to build on their seventh place finish last season. They have had a virtual overhaul of the squad with one of their most interesting signings that of Kgomotso Mosadi from Casric Stars. He was prolific in front of goal.

STELLENBOSCH FC

Summary: Stellenbosch have brought in Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota in an attempt to reignite his career, and also signed young Ghanaian centre-back Prince Amponsah, who is likely one for the future. Winger Anicet Oura has also joined from the famed Ivory Coast club ASEC Abidjan.

SUPERSPORT UNITED

Summary: SuperSport have promoted from within and also secured players who were on loan last season, the likes of Grant Margeman and Siphesihle Ndlovu. They have also brought in forward Risen Albert who was previously with Highlands Park. Promoted teenager Shandre Campbell has made a big impact in the first few games.

TS GALAXY

Summary: TS Galaxy might have done all their business already, though just one goal in two games suggests they have yet to solve their scoring woes from last season. No goals conceded though is hallmark Galaxy.
