DStv Premiership teams have already played two games in the new season, a chance for coaches to test combinations ahead of what will be a long campaign.
The transfer window remains open for another three weeks and in that time there are sure to be more movements as clubs understand where they are short and need cover.
SuperSport.com looks at the confirmed signings so far, as well as players who have returned from loan to potentially bolster the options for coaches.
AMAZULU

Summary: Usuthu have been busy in the market and in the last 10 days or so have signed Niger forward Victorien Adebayor. They could still add to their squad with several trialists as they also seek to make up for the loss of Gabadinho Mhango, who has left for Moroka Swallows.
CAPE TOWN CITY
Confirmed signings: Tshegofatso Nyama (TS Galaxy), Jo Paciencia (InterClube, Angola), Luyolo Slatsha (promoted), Ramazani Tshimanga (JS Groupe Bazano, DR Congo)
Summary: City have made no new signings in the last week, and have been liberal with new acquisitions in the window. It has not affected their start to the season, they have two wins from two and had a goal on debut from new Angolan striker Jo Paciencia
CAPE TOWN SPURS

Summary: Spurs have beefed up their goalkeeping department in the last week with not one but two signings. Neil Boshoff is no stranger to PSL fans and arrives from Richards Bay, but Sam Ramsbottom will be new to most. He arrives from Scottish third-tier side Edinburgh City. Spurs have also brought in forward Riyaaz Nell from relegated Marumo Gallants.
CHIPPA UNITED

Summary: Chippa continue to add to their numbers, including Baraka Majogoro from Mtibwa Sugar in Tanzania, though he has yet to debut, having been on the bench for both their matches.

Summary: Chiefs did their business early in the window and it remains to be seen whether they will add more – talk of Bafana Bafana midfielder Thabo Cele would join on a free has not yet come to fruition. There is reportedly an impasse with his contract negotiations.

Summary: Golden Arrows added University of Pretoria attacker in the last week, and also promoted youngster Siyanda Mthanti, who managed a goal on debut in the 1-1 draw with Moroka Swallows at the weekend.

Summary: You wouldn’t think they needed any more players, but with the club set to compete for six trophies this season, they will need a big squad. In the last week or so they have won the race for TS Galaxy and Bafana Bafana midfielder Bathusi Aubaas, beating off opposition from Orlando Pirates.

Summary: Polokwane City have made a decent start to their return to the DStv Premiership with a win and a loss in their two games so far. And they were seconds away from a point in Cape Town. They have signed journeyman Zimbabwe attacker Douglas Mapfumo, who is only 23 but has been at five clubs in the PSL alone already.
RICHARDS BAY

Summary: Stellenbosch have brought in Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota in an attempt to reignite his career, and also signed young Ghanaian centre-back Prince Amponsah, who is likely one for the future. Winger Anicet Oura has also joined from the famed Ivory Coast club ASEC Abidjan.
