Timbe, who currently plays his club football with Nanjing City FC in China has not featured for the national team for almost three years, but has now been recalled and will play for Firat for the first time in his tenure.
Also re-considered is Kenya Police FC goalkeeper Patrick Matasi, who missed out last time with injury, and he swaps places in the squad with Tusker keeper Brian Bwire who was called in for the friendly matches in Mauritius.
Also being called up again is youngster Timothy Ouma. Previously, Firat had explained that the absence of the youngster who featured prominently in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers was to allow him settle at his new club Elfsborg.
There are no major surprises in the squad called up with the tactician sticking to more or less the same squad he has had over the last one year since his return.
The team reports to camp on Sunday, September 3.
Stars are scheduled to play Qatar in their first friendly match in Doha on September 7 before facing South Sudan five days later in Nairobi.
The two matches will help the tactician mold up his squad for the competitive calendar coming up in the next international window, with the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) scheduled to start.
