Spurs made a specific request to Bayern Munich during face-to-face talks over the future of Harry Kane.
Bayern have had two bids for Kane rejected by Spurs but remain in dialogue with the North London side and travelled to the capital for discussions on Monday.
As per Sky Sports, Bayern's chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe were both in attendance for the negotiations, which were initially slated for last week before being rescheduled.
BILD say the first meeting may well have been cancelled in order to avoid a media storm with fears fans would find out.
Following on from the talks, it's emerged that the two clubs are still far apart when it comes to a transfer fee for Kane.Bayern are willing to pay no more than €100m (£85.7 million) - with an initial £77.7 million payment followed for £8.7 million in add-ons.
Spurs, however, feel as though their talisman is worth at least £100 million even with a year remaining on his contract.
Another important detail from the conversations is that Spurs are insisted on a buy-back clause should Kane return to the Premier League.That would give Spurs the option to bring their record goalscorer back to the club in the future and it appears as though Bayern are willing to agree to that demand.For Kane that arrangement could prove very useful as he could theoretically head to Bundesliga champions Bayern and compete for silverware before heading back to the English top flight.
He is still desperate to break Alan Shearer's Premier League goalscoring record and is only 47 away after a stunning 30-goal campaign in a struggling Spurs side last term.Bayern president Herbert Hainer has made no secret of his desire to acquire Kane.
As per The Times, he told German football magazine Kicker: “Here in the Bundesliga we don't have many international stars any more.
“Bayern always try to bring in stars. Harry Kane is a highly attractive player, the England captain and a top scorer. He would do us and the Bundesliga good.”
