Former Cherangany MP Kipruto arap Kirwa now wants President William Ruto and Kenya Kwanza allies to stop rubbing their victory on their opponents.
Speaking on Tuesday, Kirwa said that they won the August 2022 presidential election, and what they should now do is accommodate those who lost to them.
He said the constant reminders act as a breeding ground for beef with the opponents.
"We spend a lot of time on elections and I do hope that Kenya Kwanza from today on will stop saying they won because when you win, you don't rub it on us," Kirwa said.
"You win, you accommodate those who lost to you. That is the maxim I used for the 20 years as a Member of Parliament."
He said when the president continues to talk about the opposition, people will forget about him and focus on them.
"You don't talk about your opponent every day. People will forget you and focus on your opponent," he said.
The former MP spoke on KTN News on Tuesday morning.
Kirwa was in the Kenya Kwanza camp before he switched camps to the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance side. He was the UDA vice chairman at the time.
"From today I Kipruto Arap Kirwa have resigned as UDA vice chairman and I have resigned because I have seen how democracy is going to be suppressed if we allow the other side," he said then.
