According to head coach Beldine Odemba, the midfielder, who turns out for Czech Republic side Slavia Praha has been ruled out with injury.
“Marjolene picked up an injury two weeks ago. We had spoken with her and the club as well and we thought it was manageable but after he went for an MRI, it showed that she will not be ready for these matches and has been ruled out,” said Odemba.
The team held its last training session at the Kasarani Annex on Monday, with Esse Akida and Mwanahalima Adam among the players who have linked up with the team.
The last player expected in camp is left back Enez Mango, who plays her club football in Romania with Farul Constanta.
Despite the late arrival of some of the key players, coach Odemba is confident it will not offer much of a problem in terms of gelling.
“The players who have arrived late are experience and have played for the national team before so they understand the assignment. If you look at them in training, they have already gelled in very well and the best thing is that they have come in very fit and that’s good for us,” she added.
Starlets will depart the country on Tuesday evening for Cameroon, ahead of the first leg match set to be played on Friday.
