Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has not been included in the squad list for their friendlies this weekend amid rumours that he could move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils have already signed Mason Mount and Andre Onana for a combined fee of £107 million this summer, while they have reached an agreement with Atalanta over the signing of Rasmus Hojlund.
However, Erik ten Hag isn't finished there and has identified Amrabat as a possible addition to his midfield after a series of eye-catching performances at the World Cup for Morocco.
And Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims a deal could be done soon the Serie A club have all but completed the sale of Gaetano Castrovilli to Bournemouth.Pedulla tweeted: "After the sale of Castrovilli, it will soon be the turn of Amrabat.
"As already mentioned, there have been SECRET contacts between Fiorentina and MUFC through intermediaries."Indeed, the 26-year-old is thought to be keen on a move to Old Trafford, where he would reunite with former boss Ten Hag, who he worked under whilst playing for Utrecht.Meanwhile, the Manchester Evening News claim that United are 'holding firm' on their valuation of the midfielder, which is just over £21 million.
But if they are to land Amrabat's signature, the club may have to sell a significant number of current players in order to fund the transfer.
Former captain Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay have been named as part of the cohort who may have to depart the club this summer, with West Ham reportedly keen to sign the duo.
