Six teams will represent Kenya at the East and Central Africa Handball Club Championships (ECAHF) at Nyayo Stadium in December.
Kenya Handball Federation league coordinator George Asimeto said the nine-day tournament will also have teams from Rwanda, Burundi, Zanzibar, the Democratic Republic of Kenya, and South Sudan.
Leading the Kenyan onslaught in the show are reigning men’s champions National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) and Nairobi Water Queens (women).
Newly-formed Equity Bank, General Service Unit (GSU) and Black Mamba are also enlisted in the men’s competition.
The ladies' category will have Water Queens, Ulinzi Sharks and NCPB, who were second in last year’s edition held in the Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar.
Foreign teams coming to the show are Police of Rwanda, Rwanda Army (men), Tanzania’s Jeshi La Kujenga Taifa (men and women), and Police of DR Congo (men and women).
