Danny Rohl will become the youngest manager in the English Football League after the 34-year-old was appointed Sheffield Wednesday boss on Friday.
Rohl, who was previously Bayern Munich and Germany's assistant manager under Hansi Flick, will take over his first senior managerial role with the Owls bottom of the Championship.
Wednesday are yet to win in 11 games back in the English second tier and sacked Spaniard Xisco Munoz last week.
Rohl will become the club's 11th permanent manager in the last 12 years.
"I'm ready for this. I know it's a big challenge to make the step forward as a manager but I prepared the past 10 years for this," said Rohl.
"I'm convinced with the group here that we can go forward."
Rohl will take charge for the first time next weekend when Wednesday visit Watford.
