Danny Miles, a cancer patient who wrote an emotional message to Safaricom earlier this year asking the company to help his daughter when she died was finally buried at their home in Gem, Siaya County.
Miles whose real name is Maurice Ochieng died on March 21 after battling cancer for about three years.
His emotional funeral was held on Saturday where family members, friends, neighbors, and other Kenyans came together to bid him farewell.
He was buried in a white coffin on his parent's farm. Even after the burial of Miles, Kenyans on social media have continued to plead with Safaricom to fulfill his requests and help his widow Florence Akoth Odege and their young daughter Britney Ochieng'.
In January, Miles, via Facebook, informed the company that he felt like his end was near and expressed concern about the fate of his young daughter who was about to enter school.
He said that the disease used up all the money he had saved for the family and left him dependent on the help of friends.
"Hello Safaricom, I'm Maurice Ochieng aka Danny Miles. I'm from Muhoron. In March last year, I was diagnosed with cancer, soft tissue sarcoma.
It's really eating away at me. Day by day I feel. I was saving up to take my little family on vacation but I'm out of energy, I can't. I live with the help of friends. My little daughter is still young. He hasn't started school yet.
I was making a plan but I'm sorry I failed as a father. My left arm was amputated but the cancer still affected me more I am asking you to help my daughter as soon as I leave because I can feel it.

Following his funeral, some Kenyans have now taken to social media to plead with Safaricom to fulfill the request.
One Facebook user who attended the funeral wrote a long message naming all those who Miles' widow recognized for their contributions during the illness, death, and funeral. He noted that the company was not named.
"Danny left two children. A girl and a boy. Fulfill his wishes. He saw them as saviours and reached out to them. He came in his time of need.
Safaricom page managers should inform the authorities so that they can fulfill Danny's wishes," the widely circulated message read.
Suleiman Shilaku wrote, "This Safaricom is Danny Miles who pleaded with him to help educate his daughter as soon as he passes away.
Please fulfill his last wish. Tell the CEO to have mercy for once," Mandele C. Sungura wrote to the company, "Dear Safaricom PLC. I have been your staunch customer since 2009 when I got this Simcard.
Danny Miles was buried yesterday and he had only one request for you! To educate his children when he is gone.

This comes two weeks after RFH Healthcare boss, Dr. Maxwel Okoth had promised to educate the daughter of the late cancer patient.
