A man who is for the second time appearing in court over the same charges of threatening to kill his mother and creating disturbance has denied the accusations.
The court heard that Ethan Chege (pictured) a 24-year-old allegedly threatened to chop his mother Anastacia Ndunge into small pieces before evicting her from her house in Ruai, Njiru Sub-County, Nairobi, on March 6.
“I will chop you like vegetables,” he told his mother, which the police are treating as death threats.
He was also charged with creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by chasing his mother from her home on the same date.
He was also found in possession of bhang worth Sh4,900 at the time of his arrest on March 24.
The accused is said to have warned his mother against inviting relatives to her home. Following a report to authorities, the accused was arrested and taken to the police station. He was freed on a bond of Sh200,000 pending the hearing on September 20, 2023.
