UDA secretary general Cleophas Malala now says that Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga's biggest enemy is Martha Karua.
According to Malala, Karua is the one who ensured that the former Prime Minister never became president in the controversial 2007 presidential contest, where former president Mwai Kibaki (late) was declared the winner.
"Mr. Raila Odinga must know that his biggest political enemy is Martha Karua for she ensured he never became president back in 2007 to date," he said on Saturday.
In the 2007 presidential contest, Karua backed Kibaki who was seeking a second term as head of state.
The former senator who had accompanied Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen to Elgeyo Marakwet called out Azimio leaders for not being genuine to each other.
He also said they were not being truthful to Kenyans in their protests, which have led to the destruction of property and loss of at least 10 lives, in a span of two weeks.
The Raila Odinga-led Azimio has been holding protests twice every week, Mondays and Thursdays, over the high cost of living, and electoral reforms and also wants President William Ruto to resign.
Ruto's allies have asked him to deal with Raila once and for all.
National Assembly majority leader Kimani Ichung'wah has asked President William Ruto not to treat Azimio leader Rail Odinga with glove hands.
He said that Kenyans respected Raila as the father of democracy but he has turned into a mercenary for hire.
He, without evidence, claimed that Raila and his Azimio brigades were targeting Kikuyu-owned enterprises in Nairobi through his weekly anti-government demos because they didn’t vote for him.
“We owe you nothing. If there is any Kikuyu who owes you anything is Uhuru Kenyatta. We have the capacity to mobilise people to protect their property but we are only being civil,” he said.
“The government must use all legitimate means to stop you from destroying other people’s property,” he added.
