The Ministry of Information and Digital Economy has redeployed public communication officers and their assistants in a move it says are aimed at ensuring all ministries and departments are adequately served.
PS Edward Kisiang'ani said in a communication to ministry officials that the redeployment is in line with the recent presidential executive order to reorganise the government.
"The recently issued Presidential Executive Order No. 1 of 2023 reorganised government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) some of which do not have officers in the public communication departments," Kisiang'ani said.
"This has necessitated the redeployment of officers to ensure that all MDAs are adequately served," he added.
Among those re-deployed from the ministry of information to State House are Senior Information Officer Peter Ngaruiya, Public Communications Assistant Ruth Mueni, Principal Public Information Officer Mathew Amere and Assistant Director, of Film Services Joseph Kariuki.
Others are Grace Waleghwa, Senior Public Communications Assistant who has been moved to the ministry of Lands and Public Works and Irene Galgalo, Senior Public Communications Officer who has been moved to the Ministry of Public Service and Gender.
