Paris Saint-Germain have set Liverpool a deadline to sign Kylian Mbappe, it has been claimed.
According to the Mirror, the Reds have reportedly launched a sensational bid to sign Mbappe on loan.
Indeed, Liverpool reportedly believe an agreement can be reached with PSG to sign the wantaway striker on a season-long loan before his expected move to Real Madrid on a free next summer.
Mbappe has made it clear he will be leaving PSG at the end of his contract next summer. Meanwhile, only last week, the 24-year-old turned down a stunning move to Saudi Arabia where he would have allegedly earned up to €700million for a season.
But according to Spanish publication AS, PSG are determined to resolve Mbappe’s future before the Ligue 1 starts on August 12.
PSG to "instantly accept" Liverpool offer
According to another Spanish publication, El Nacional, Liverpool want to convince Mbappe to sign for the Anfield club, while there is an expectation the Reds’ offer will be “instantly accepted” by PSG.Meanwhile, the Mirror claimed that Chelsea are the latest Premier League side to have entered the race to sign the Frenchman.Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has reportedly already taken part in discussions with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over a potential move, with the Blues considering a huge cash-plus-players deal.
However, Liverpool have allegedly been encouraged to make their audacious loan move by Mbappe’s agent and mother Fayza Lamari, who is a Liverpool fan.
Speaking to the Telegraph in 2020 Mbappe spoke of the Reds’ past interest, when Mbappe was a teenager at Monaco.
The France captain explained: "We talked a little bit, but not too much.
"We talked a little bit. I talked to Liverpool because it's the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool.
"I don't know why, you will have to ask her! It's a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It's a big club."
